狄杜娜朵和尼澤塞甘合作舒伯特《冬之旅》，宣傳文案先是胡說八道，說這個是從拒絕了敘述者、嫁了人的少女的立場出發的《冬之旅》。曲詞沒變就怎會是對方的角度呢？除非你說，是少女幻想那個少年怎樣面對失戀，但這樣想同樣痴線。
這張碟較適合狄杜娜朵的粉絲，聲音是好聽的，但她稍為戲劇化的唱法，再加上太突兀強調某些字，對我來說是有點庸俗的藝術歌曲唱法。尼澤塞甘的伴奏也是以誇張為主調，就是怕你不知道這套歌曲很悲傷。
Both DiDonato and Nézet-Séguin were having a little bit of crossover in Schubert’s Winterreise. The publicity material claimed that DiDonato was presenting the girl’s point of view. This is simply bullshit. Perhaps more plausible is to say this is how the girl fantasizes the rejected lover’s emotional journey, still that would be a crazy claim.
This disc is more for DiDonato’s fans, I think. Her tone was nice but her dramatic approach, which often stressed certain words, was to me a very kitsch way to approach lieder. Nézet-Séguin’s accompaniment was likewise exaggerated, as if we have no idea that this is a sad song cycle.
