卡薩爾斯四重奏的莫扎特，第二及三場是全部六首「海頓」四重奏，一天內完成，就像那時聽他們的貝多芬全集中，一天奏完六首作品18四重奏般。跟前一晚水準相若，只需作少少補充，尤其是這套最有名的三首。K421的憂愁，他們進一步以更灰暗的音色及更凝重的造句，推進可和後期舒伯特比擬的深淵。K458第一樂章那個令此曲得到「打獵」別名的旋律，在雀躍之餘，第一小提琴再加了一重溫柔，多少令這個別名變得以偏概全。K465「不協和音」奏得沒之前那些細緻，感覺想作最後衝刺，其實我自己都累了。
Cuarteto Casals wrapped up their Mozart cycle with the six “Haydn” quartets, played over two concerts within one day. They achieved a similar feat in their Beethoven cycle when they played all the op.18 quartets on the same day. My judgement from the previous day still stands, with some extra comments for the three best-known works of this set. They plunged the already melancholic K421 quartet into a Schubertzian abyss with even darker timbre and heavier phrasings. In the K458 quartet, the first movement melody which earned this piece “The Hunt” nickname was played with some extra tenderness, that somehow refuted the nickname. I felt the players no longer devoted as much care in the Dissoance Quartet, the last piece in this cycle. Sounded like a final rush to the goal line. Yet I must admit I was quite exhausted myself.
